I founded, and am a Director of, Property Tax Accountant Limited, a UK registered company.
Chartered Accountant
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 and am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) having trained in the laws & regulations of England & Wales (rather than Scotland).
I am authorised by ICAS to engage in public practice as a professional accountant.
Passionate about property
I have well and truly caught the property bug. I invested in my first property as soon as I could.
There is nothing better than combining a passion with a profession, and that is exactly what I have done as a property accountant.
My clients benefit from my specialist knowledge in this complex sector. I am easily able put myself in their shoes and love talking about property with them.
15+ years of experience
Since 2002, I have performed a variety of finance roles including: Auditor, Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, Financial Controller and Chief Risk Officer.
In these roles I provided accounting and financial advisory and leadership roles for, and in, a wide variety of businesses, from sole traders to listed companies.
QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor
QuickBooks is THE tool for small and medium-sized businesses. I am an exam certified, highly experienced QuickBooks Advanced ProAdvisor.
I thoroughly enjoy setting up new businesses in QuickBooks and teaching my clients how to use this great system.
Privacy Professional
Continued professional development never stops. To develop an expertise in the protection of personal data under GDPR, in 2018 I qualified as a:
- Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E)
- Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)
But it's not all work and no play
I'm a member of the local squash club where I can normally be found on court, in a Club Committee meeting presenting the latest financials, or propping up the bar.
